Most people don’t realize it, but people weren’t going without medical treatment in the old days of freedom. Hospitals had charity wards, and doctors often treated patients for free in their offices.
That was the truly free system before government ever got involved through Medicaid, Medicare, tax deductions for employer-provided insurance, the allowing of frivolous lawsuits, etc. If you study the history, you will see that government involvement caused all the current problems and expense. Now they want to force on us an even more complicated system of thievery, power, and rationing.
Old plan: “Get sick, go to doctor, pay doctor; accept charity if you can’t afford it.”
